Join the construction sector and build the future, one project at a time

Representing over 7% of Québec's GDP and some 298,000 jobs, the construction industry continues to grow, driven by numerous civil engineering and road projects, as well as the recovery of the industrial sector.
A thriving industry with endless opportunities A career in construction means joining a dynamic sector that offers well-paid jobs for skilled workers. The institutional and commercial sector— including residential buildings of more than six floors — generates 56% of hours worked, followed by residential construction (20%), civil engineering and roadwork (19%) and industrial construction (5.7%).
Companies seeking skilled workers In Greater Montréal, the construction and engineering industry will need 10,000 employees annually between 2024 and 2028.  However, the number of graduates won’t be enough to meet demand. Already, over a third of companies in the sector are struggling to hire locally, creating promising opportunities for qualified international candidates.
